Instagram Your Wedding

What do you think about having an Instagram contest at your wedding? Have your friends, who will likely be taking some pictures anyway, #hashtag your wedding and then choose your favorite while you are relaxing on your honeymoon? I bet you would get some great pictures.

McPhersons, I Love You.

One of my best friends tied the knot this last weekend with one of my other dear friends. I can't wait to share more photos because it was a phenomenal and beautiful celebration. Everyone danced, we wrapped our arms around each others shoulders to sway and sing Bohemian Rhapsody, we congo lined behind the brides grandmother trying to escape with a walker, we drank too much, I took a Tide Pen to Isaacs shirt three different times when people decided to douse him with red wine, we cried, we shoved the 11 person bridal party into a raft, we laughed, we had on going starring contests, we kick danced, we loved. It was definitely one of the best nights of my life.

Thanks for getting married. Have fun in Maui, my darlings.

Very Sweet

If you feel like being a little mushy today, watch this cute wedding video. It's raining this morning in Portland for the first time in a while; so it's the perfect time to be a little mushy. It forced a head tilt and smile out of me for a few minutes.

A Colorado Weekend

A few photos from my wonderful weekend in Colorado. It was a nice break to have dry heat verses the mugginess we have been experiencing in Portland. And....Boulder is one of my new favorite places.

Always a Bridesmaid

 

Yes. Another wedding. My oldest friend is having a wedding this July in South Eastern Idaho and besides the fact that I would never miss her big day, it seems like a great opportunity to go on a little road trip. Jenny (that's her name) grew up on a cattle ranch and as a kid I loved going out to visit her to go on cattle drives and ride horses all day long. Jenny is one of my dearest friends and I can't wait to share in her special day! Oh... and to party with cowboys. Obvi.

One of my favorite people is getting married and today we are going to look at some wedding dresses. I'm not actually sure where we are going just yet, but the English Dept. is one great little Portland wedding dress shop.

Soft Reception

 

Is this a wedding reception set up, a dinner party, a bridal shower? I don't know, but I do know that I love it. The soft diffused light washing over the cream and white dining set up is just lovely. I am into paper flowers this week, so I think the flowers and paper cranes are pretty neat. More on paper cranes here .
