Okay, this isn't technically the Prince's kitchen. I doubt he goes in his kitchen that often anyway. However, while I was looking at kitchen cabinets painted in more than one color, I discovered something I thought was fun and interesting. Turns out Prince Charles is a huge advocate for sustainable housing. He founded the Princes Foundation for Building Community, and recently paired with Plain English (a kitchen maker) to build an eco-friendly house model.

Cabinet Color
I am really into different colored cabinets. It brings a little bit more character and fun into a kitchen. This Norwegian kitchen (top) pairs a sleek blue and black, white the home below mixes gray and white.

Artsy Kitchen
This is such a fun kitchen. Why are Union Jacks so cool? They just are. That's all I know. The cutting board art display is super cool too. If you are into it, all you need to do is find some old cutting boards, (try an antique store or your grandmas garage) then dip dye them to match.

Making Food
I've been cooking a lot more these days and really enjoying it. They say practice makes perfect, but sometimes when you are still in the sucking phase it's hard to keep trying. Luckily, I have to eat. Luckily, other people have to eat; so I can't quit trying to cook. Also luckily, I am getting better and better.
I store some of my dry food products in jars on open shelves and love the look. It inspires me to cook just a little more. What inspires you to cook?

Light Kitchen
I think this kitchen is great. To state the obvious first, I love the white with the charcoal contrast, but in addition, the skylight placed above the beam work is really fun and probably casts some great shadows. I also adore white floors and open shelving, as long as you have pretty dishes or jars filled with food to display. It's a clean light filled kitchen.
