Twenty Three Weeks
Dear Baby,
As an interior designer, I spend a lot of time thinking about space and how to make the built environment both beautiful and functional. As a pregnant lady I am becoming obsessed with making our apartment perfect before you get here. I am consumed by thoughts of the room you will share with your brother. Turning it into a sweet nursery and restful space for a 5 year old is a fun challenge. I love getting rid of things we don't need or don't work with our life. To stay sane, our home has to become an exclusive club, not all stuff can enter.
That being said, your brothers bed doesn't make sense for what the future holds; so I am designing a new loft bed for the boy (that we will build with the help of some talented friends) and, after a lot of time spent reading online reviews, we are going with a mini crib for you. Mini cribs are smaller than standard cribs, can fit most babies for nearly two years, and can easily be moved from room to room. Perfect, perfect, and perfect. You will love it.
You have been moving around a lot. It's the best.
This week the internet says you are the size of a grapefruit and that you have nipples. Congrats.
xoxo mama
