America Day

How was your 4th?! Mine was, dare I say it, the best 4th of July ever. I went out to the sea to celebrate and it was lovely. I am not a big parade watcher anymore, but we ended up sitting in the window seat at a coffee shop watching the parade go right by us. Small town parades are odd and sweet. We ate a delicious lunch, saved a bee from imminent death, took a nap in the sun, and did yoga on the beach.

What was really special, was walking down the promenade along the beach and seeing the thousands of people camped out on the beach shooting off mortars, lighting sparklers, roasting hot dogs, and just relaxing as the sun set after a beautiful clear day. It's hard to describe the experience from the beach in Seaside. It was like a mixture of war zone (only one where you wouldn't get shot - hopefully) and a Quidditch tournament. It was really, really spectacular. We laid on the beach and watched fireworks literally going off all around us. It was magical.

On that note. The computer situation is almost back in order, so I will be back to normal posts by Monday!
