In the hills overlooking the Italian city of Florence sits a charming structure among the pine and olive trees. A tree house-complete with a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
When designer, Riccardo Barthel was building the couple's main house, in the 1980's, they had planned on building a tree house for their two children to play in; however it never happened.
After the children had grown they revived the concept and transformed it into a guest house.
Barthels overall inspiration was a water tower.

I love that this is a guest house. The chalkboards are fun but kids would just make it look messy, honestly. Adult guests would probably make something neat.
